GDPR data privacy notice

1 Background

1.1 On 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation became effective and, together with the Data Protection Act, constitutes a regulation of the processing of personal data.
1.2 This document contains information on how Alusteel A/S (hereafter Alusteel) processes and registers your personal information.                   

2 Data controller and contact information

2.1 Alusteel is the data controller in relation to the personal data that is processed in connection with our work and the collaborative relationship.
2.2 Alusteel is a public limited company which is registered at the Danish Business Authority under CVR no. 32 47 20 44.

2.5 In any inquiry, it is a great advantage for the case processing if a possible order invoice number or the permanent contact person at Alusteel can be provided.

3 Received information

When you are a customer with us, employed by, or otherwise represent a customer with us, we process various general work-related personal information from you in the form of e.g., name, title, telephone number, e-mail address, workplace, bank information and other personal information that you provide to us. In addition, we collect the personal information necessary for compliance with the law on money laundering prevention, in those cases where this is required. This information is a copy of the driving license/passport and a copy of the health insurance certificate, including information about civil registration number. When you or the company you are employed with is a supplier to us, we process general work-related personal information about you in the form of the contact information that you provide to us in connection with ordering or completing an order.

4 The purpose of handling personal information

4.1 For customers, employees of customers or representatives of customers, including potential customers, the processing of your personal information takes place to set you or the company you are employed with, up as a customer and contact person, documentation of orders, communication regarding your orders and securing audit or transactions.
4.2 For suppliers or contact persons at suppliers, the processing of your personal data takes place with a view to establishing you or the company you are employed with as a supplier and contact person, documentation of orders, communication regarding our orders and securing audit or transaction traces.
4.3 The legal basis for our processing of personal data is set out in Article 6 (1) of the Personal Data Regulation. 1 letter b and letter c.

5 Security measures

5.1 Our processing of personal data will always take place in accordance with our internal guidelines and personnel instructions pursuant to the Data Protection Act. This means, among other things, that we ensure that personal data is treated confidentially and in a secure environment, both physically as well as electronically. In addition, only relevant individuals who are directly or indirectly linked to the specific case or task will have access to the personal data.

6. Recipients of your personal data

6.1 As part of our work, it may be necessary to share your personal information with suppliers and partners who assist us with our IT operations, IT support, data hosting, filing, and accounting.
6.2 We may also pass on your personal information to external third parties in the form of public authorities. We may also disclose your personal information to auditors for the purpose of preparing financial statements and for auditing purposes.

7. Transfer of personal data to third countries or organizations

7.1 Alusteel does not pass on or transfer your personal information to (parties in) third countries or International Organizations without obtaining your written consent first.

8. Your rights

8.1 According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to Alusteel’s processing of information about you, including:
– You have the right to access the personal information that Alusteel processes about you, as well as a number of additional information.
– You always have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.
– In certain cases, you have the right to object to Alusteel’s processing of your personal data.
– In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used and readable format and to have this personal information transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.

9 Storage and deletion of your personal data

9.1 We will store your information as long as you are affiliated with Alusteel and as long as your information may be relevant to the collaboration. However, your information will be deleted at the latest that the duty of custody expires.
9.2 In order to be able to avoid conflicts of interest, we will, regardless of pkt. 9.1, retain your master data; including name, address, contact details and names of business affiliations for up to 5 years after the end of the collaboration.

10. Cookies

10.1 On our website, only “function-related cookies” are used. Before Alusteel can place cookies on your computer’s hard drive, it requires that you have given permission for us to use cookies. This only happens when you press “ok” in the field that appears at the bottom of Alusteel’s website when you visit it. We do not collect personal information via cookies.

11 Complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency

11.1 You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency if you are dissatisfied with the way Alusteel process your personal data. You will find the Danish Data Protection Agency’s contact information at www.datatilsynet.dk.

12 Reviewing of this policy

We regularly review this policy to keep it up to date and in accordance with current principles and legislation. The policy is subject to change without notice. Significant changes will be published on our website www.alusteel.dk together with an updated version of the policy.
