I was actually hired to handle some ordinary office work. But I am curious by nature, and my area of responsibility has grown as the company has evolved. I have gained my skills through peer training and practice. As you gain experience, you know more and more of what can be done – and how you can make things easier or smarter.

At the same time, we each have our areas of competence in the office.
For example, I do not possess great insight into the more complicated production matters, where others do.

On a typical day, I take care of incoming orders, get them added to our flow, communicate with the production, and arrange shipping / dispatch to the customer.

No two days are the same.
As a new employee, you must be solution-oriented and good at communicating. You must be able to work in a structured way and be able to make sure that the ends from incoming orders to the desired delivery meet. You must be curious and have the ability to understand a construction drawing.

Or at least have the ability to learn this. We work a lot with peer training in the company. If you have the right setting, you can go a long way.
I am happy to be here. As I said, no two days are the same. I like the way we work and how we have a good time together. It is a high-pace environment, but always in a way that does not get out of hand. We are experiencing great professional development. Your input and the work you do is part of the company’s reality. For example, we as employees have had a major impact on our order system and the updating of this.

I would definitely recommend working at Alusteel. Although it is hardly a business for everyone. You must be willing and capable of keeping several balls in the air at once – where you must make things happen in a short time. You need to have a positive energy. You must be committed to the work you do. But is that not also what makes it worth getting up and going to work in the morning?
