EFFIMAT – from a small start-up to a big player

Alusteel have been there from the start of EFFIMAT’s time, back when they were merely a start-up developing products and prototypes. Today, we are still working with EFFIMAT, as they supply fully automatic storage solutions, which significantly improve the efficiency of their customers.

This development has gone from small prototype series with constant modifications, to big orders where EFFIMAT empty the stock of our steel distributors. Hence, the needs of EFFIMAT have changed. From being dependent on swift deliveries aiming to implement small revisions, we now supply them with big orders, priced at a level competing with other big players in the market. Alusteel have succeeded with this transformation and today serve as the preferred supplier of EFFIMAT.

Today, Alusteel manage the orders of EFFIMAT through fixed routes and item numbers, thoroughly outlined in our production planning system. This ensures complete control over our resources and materials at any given time, for these orders.

We plan the capacity every day and by means of our flexible employees and agile setup, we can expend capacity in case of bottlenecks. Through time, we have expanded our partnership with EFFIMAT. Today, we handle all surface treatment of workpieces for them. We ensure delivery on time via central administrative control of the logistics – and delivery via our own truck. At the same time, our efforts reduce the administrative needs of EFFIMAT significantly.

In the future, we are going to minimize both the lead time and logistics even further, through our new painting plant.
